How We Built livetenders.ai – AI for Government Tendering
Jul 29, 2025
Siya wasn’t born in a lab. It was built in the field, from real conversations with project managers, tendering consultants, and business owners who were tired of missing opportunities simply because their tools were outdated.
This is the story of how we built livetenders.ai:
An AI tool designed to simplify, streamline, and strengthen the way construction companies win projects.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Every week, thousands of tenders go live across central and state government portals. Yet most companies still rely on:
Manual scanning of multiple websites
Unstructured document management
Delays in internal coordination
Missed deadlines due to human error.
The result? High-value opportunities lost—not due to lack of capability, but because of poor systems.
Why We Chose AI
AI isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a force multiplier. We realised AI could do three things better than humans:
Read and analyse large volumes of unstructured data (like PDF tenders),
Detect patterns in what kinds of tenders a company usually applies for
Send intelligent alerts for upcoming deadlines and missing documents.
So we began prototyping livetenders.ai in December 2024 with one mission: to create a smarter way to tender.
Our Build Process: From Concept to Prototype
Step 1: Research & Interviews
We interviewed over 50+ professionals—contractors, PMC consultants, and procurement officers—to understand pain points.
Insights:
Smaller firms miss tenders because they lack tracking capacity.
Government portals have inconsistent formats, making scraping and reading hard.
Internal coordination on documentation is chaotic.
Step 2: MVP with Real Construction Firms.
We partnered with 3 firms to test a basic version:
Tender fetch and classification by state and category
Manual tagging and deadline tracking
Email-based alert system.
Feedback was encouraging—and brutally honest.
Step 3: Training the AI
Using Natural Language Processing (NLP), we trained Siya on:
Over 10,000 historical tenders
Regional language data
Classification models to match company profiles with tenders
Step 4: UX/UI for Construction Teams
We designed the interface with non-tech teams in mind—simple dashboards and colour-coded statuses.
What Makes mytender Unique
It understands construction categories, not just keywords
It adapts to each company’s bid preferences over time
It’s custom-built for Indian tendering systems, unlike generic bidding tools.
Future Outlook:
We're currently onboarding early users and integrating feedback. The long-term roadmap includes:
Tender scouting on your behalf (livetenders.ai)
Auto-fill for standard bid documents
Multilingual support
WhatsApp & email integration
Predictive success scoring based on past bids.
Why Transparency Matters.
By sharing our journey, we hope to build trust. Mytender isn’t just a SaaS product—it’s a result of our commitment to solving real problems in the construction space using cutting-edge technology.
